Hello! I am really interested about PI System and I'm overwhelmed and fascinated by its features but I'm having a hard time searching for a good write-up about "how it works". Will you please provide me some useful articles or links where I could learn more about the "hows" of each component of PI System. Thank you very much. Looking forward reading all your comments and learning from all of you!

Hi infoseeker Have you looked on training.osisoft.com? If you are an authenticated user, you may be able to download some of the PI training materials. Some of it may be a bit confusing without having a professional trainer to walk you through the slides and exercises. Feel free to get in touch if you work for a company that would like to invest in some training! best regards doug www.definitconsulting.com

Hi infoseeker,
As Doug has stated, if you have access to OSI technical support area then there is a wealth of technical documentation there - oh and let's not forget this forum Training wise then I would highly recommend Doug to guide you through your training needs.
Try and take a step back too and think why you are using PI and what you are hoping to achieve from a PI installation(s). That way you can focus on what areas you need to build your knowledge in - no immediate benefit learning about the batch system (as an example) if you have no immediate intentions of using it.
Cheers,
