OK. Thanks for any help, first. I'm very much noob with PI. I've been tasked with getting a PI server to write a numeric and a text data to an Experion R300.1 CM. I have created an experion CM called PI_Test with numeric blocks PI_Read and PI_Write, and a text array called PI_ID. I've figured out how to read data from PI_Read, but I'm having troubles finding any examples or direction on how to write data from PI to the PI_Test.PI_Write.pv. I stumbled into information leading me to alter Location3 from 0 to 2 to indicate an output, but cannot figure out what to do from there (assuming this is correct). I've attempted googling "OSI PI write data" and variations that are "safer" queries, but have been unsuccessful (but have been reading through this wonderful forum. Hope I get more proficient with PI to make more sense of some of the power you guys are putting into this program!). PI version is 3.3.x (I think, but I didn't write the full version down, and on a diff computer for email). Can anyone point me in a direction of getting knowledge on this task? I'm hoping it's simple for a simple mind!

EDIT: Persistence has paid off, and I figured out what is needed. Tanks anyway....
