Dear PI,
for several years our PI Data Collection is working normal until we received an error on some of the points defined in our system. The error states "Postevent failed: [-11414] Buffered point does not accept new events" with a corresponding error log "Putsnap error -11414 with point <idnum>".
This is the first time we encounter such error. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Many thanks.
Jayson.

Hello,
I have experienced the same trouble. The code I was using suddenly started give the buffer error (11414) and the excel's workbook started to tell me there was another user modifying it when I attempted to open it. Some one has any idea what happened?
Thanks,

Some questions.
Have you recently upgrade you PI-Server? Have you upgraded any of you OPC Interfaces? Have the tags in question been recently modified? Do you have a SRP with OSISoft and searched the Knowledge base?

No recent upgrades, no TAG modification and the Support told me to use UFL Interface instead of using the excel (not so much useful) They suggested to reset the buffer but it doesn't work everytime. Thanks for your attention.
