how can I say do:

average of tag1 for last hour * average of tag2 for last hour?

Hello,

Welcome to the forum.

You can create a PI Calculation Data Set in ProcessBook, then just set your expression to:

TagAvg('tag1','*-1h','*') * TagAvg('tag2','*-1h','*')

You can then display, trend, multistate... your Data set.
